Abstract

The telecommunication management network (TMN) supports management activities associated with telecommunication networks. Object-oriented technology is a key concept in TMN. This paper discusses the relationship between TMN and object-oriented technology. Object-oriented technology can help us reduce the complexity of network management. The management information base (MIB) can provide a standardized interface and enhance the operability and reuse of the network management software.
