Abstract :
An innovative system reference model and protocol stack for broadband wireless access is introduced. The proposed solution greatly improves the base station design by using software definable radio technique and packetized wireless link. The new protocol stack and system model enable dynamic bandwidth allocation and wireless QoS guarantee, and therefore improve the spectrum utilization as well as the service quality
