Abstract :
Study of temperature distribution in cooking stuff in a microwave oven is a complex phenomenon. Here the finite element analysis of temperature distribution while cooking an egg is presented. The heat mass transfer, rotational fluid flow and electromagnetic wave equation are combined for the study. The action of microwaves in heating the egg is presented. The process of heating an egg becomes complex as it is a process of inverse liquification i.e. it is a process in which a liquid becomes solid while heating whereas a liquid as we know normally becomes vapour while heating. The work is supported by simulation.
