Abstract
The decision making principles of image understanding are considered. Three general forms of videodata matching with models are distinguished. A frame-based shape description model is applied for a 2D object identification task. The decision making technique on the basis of hypothesis construction/verification is developed and applied to the human chromosome recognition task
