This paper describes the effort by Dynamic Signal Analysis Corp. and the Applied Research in Computing Systems Laboratory (ARCS) to automate the vibration analysis of rotating machinery. The result of this effort is Check-Mate Expert, a model-based expert system for vibration analysis
