Abstract :
This article presents a new miniature antenna for UHF RFID reader. Circular polarization (CP) and size reduction of the radiating element are achieved by using a single probe feed and two short circuits. The simulated axial ratio bandwidth obtained with the proposed antenna is about 140 MHz (15.5 %). This antenna has a total volume of 270 mm × 270 mm × 20mm and exhibits an average total efficiency of 76.5%.
