Abstract :
This paper demonstrates optical parametric amplification of a single photon in the high gain regime to experimentally investigate how the information initially contained in its polarization state is distributed over a large number of particles. In particular, this study analyzes how the coherence properties of the input state are transferred to the mesoscopic output field.
