Abstract :
This paper discusses the evaluation of channel capacity, in the sense of outage probability, of ultra wideband (UWB) indoor wireless systems with multiple transmit and receive antennas (MIMO). We adopt a stochastic tapped-delay line (STDL) model (with L taps) as the basic model of our consideration. An analytic expression for the capacity of UWB wireless communication systems for the case of the single transmit and receive antenna (SISO) and when STDL consists of only two taps is given, while the capacity for other cases is obtained by Monte Carlo simulation.
