  • Abstract
    Software radio as a new emerging technology, realizes software processing and controlling. With restriction of the speed of the digital processing devices, especially the bottleneck of DSP, today´s research of software radio is mostly limited in traditional narrow-band signal (<2 MHz). In this paper a new kind of scheme in accordance with spread spectrum communication called as Frequency Hopping/Multi-Carrier Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access (FH/MC DS-CDMA) technique is given. The scheme overcomes the bottleneck of communication services like multi-mode, multi-service, high-speed, etc., by means of software assistance and several advanced digital processing techniques. This research will make positive and useful discussion for the realization of software radio for the forthcoming 4th generation communication services. Typically, multi-mode and multi-service facilitated software radio by minimum number of signal processing components like A/D converter, LNA, etc.
