Abstract

Rights sharing in DRM system has long been a challenge and a key technical issue. In this paper, a novel rights sharing scheme using digital ticket is proposed. The user who possesses the right object to certain DRM protected content can acquire tickets which act as ownership certifications of the content from right issuer in a controlled manner, and then deliver the tickets to the others. Other user who receives a valid digital ticket can present the ticket to right issuer for specified rights. The proposed scheme introduces little overhead to license server, and is secure against multiple-spending and over-issuing attacks.
