Abstract :
Thermoelectric properties of Li-doped NiO and Li-doped Ca0.05 Ni0.95O, with Ni substituted by Ca in order to alter the lattice structure, were investigated in high temperature region. The oxide powder was prepared by a soft chemical approach, and then was sintered in form of compressed pallets. The chemical processing greatly shortens the overall preparation time period. Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity of the oxide samples were similar to those of the samples prepared via traditional solid-state approach. The novel chemical processing is effective to prepare the oxide ceramics
