Distribution management system-implementation of an integrated approach

Southern Electric, in conjunction with Westinghouse Systems Ltd, has commenced the development of a distribution management system. This joint project, known as COMAND, Control Management and Network Display system, draws on the user skills and specialist knowledge of Southern Electric and combines it with the real-time systems expertise of WSL to produce an optimum solution to a computer-based control room information system.
