  • Abstract
A new path loss model of interference between mobile terminals in a residential area with a curved road is proposed. On the basis of measurement results, prediction formulas are derived for the attenuation coefficient along a straight road in a non-line-of-sight (NLOS) area. Additional loss resulting from road angles along the curved road is also shown. The model is constructed from the prediction formulas. Its validity is verified by taking measurements in a residential area different from that used for deriving the formulas. The model is shown to be able to predict path loss with greater accuracy than a previous model and Recommendation ITU-R P.1411.
