Abstract
Remote image monitoring system should have the characteristics of capturing, compressing and network transmissing video real-time[1]. Remote image monitoring system based on embedded Linux and OMAP3530 can achieve these functions well. In this system, we use B/S model. It can be divided into two parts, server and browser The first component is to capture video through the analog camera, compress the image into a jpeg format and send the image dates compressed to the target pc through internet. The second component is to receive the image dates and display them on the browser. Experiments show that the video images can be displayed clearly and smoothly.
