Abstract :
In this paper the experimental investigation of a passivity-based induction motor control is presented. This energy-based approach gives some advantages over traditional field oriented control techniques such as: global stability in the whole operating range, torque and flux tracking, and limited complexity. After a short introduction to such a relatively unknown and emerging control technique, its implementation on a standard induction motor is presented and discussed through experimental tests. Some first conclusions and remarks are also included
