Abstract
A novel full-wave generalized PEEC method is presented for modelling the narrow slot-type planar circuits. The approach, which is based on the coupled mixed potential integral equation (MPIE) formulation for hybrid microstrip-slot circuits, converts the coupled integral equations into lumped element circuit network. The full-wave green¿s functions for the grounded dielectric substrate are used. Interactions between the microstrip line and the slot are modelled by introducing two new kinds of controlled sources into the traditional PEEC model. The problem of two parallel microstrip lines coupled through a slot on the ground is analyzed. The results obtained from the proposed model are compared with published results. Good agreements demonstrate the validity of this new approach.
