Current Status, Problems and Countermeasures of Science Popularization of Scientific Research Institutions in China

The scientific research institutions have achieved some results by opening to the social public and carrying out actively science popularization activities. However, there are commonly some problems which are: the scientific research institutions´ awareness of the importance of science popularization is not enough; organizations, institutions, funds, and personnel security system should be strengthened; and the transformation of scientific and technological resources into science popularization resources is not enough and so on. So we should strengthen the publicity to improve the scientific research institutions´ awareness of the importance of science popularization; establish and improve the organization, systems and financial security system of the science popularization, to ensure the status and role of science popularization; actively create conditions for their scientific resources to be transformed into the science popularization resources; and carry out all-dimensional, multi-level and wide-ranging human resource development of the science popularization work.
