Abstract :
The combination of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with direct sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS) is suitable for the design of a multiuser system robust against channel impairments. We propose a frequency domain equalization method for the OFDM-DS/SS system in mobile fading channels. It is shown that the learning constant is a key factor which is chosen depending on the channel conditions. By using the adaptive teaching constant, the average performance of the equalizer can be improved
