Taking built environmental evaluation of straw bale building in cold rural area of northeast China as object, the paper explored the life cycle of straw bale building, made inventory analyses of straw bale building in its life cycle, set up calculation formula of energy consumption of straw bale building, and evaluated energy consumption of straw bale building based on construction demonstration project. Taking efficiency of building emission reduction as subject, the paper analyzed the characteristics of pollution emission of straw bale building, calculated efficiency of emission reduction of, and made comparison of pollutant emissions between straw bale building and ordinary clay brick building.
