  • Abstract
    In this paper a simple method of coding of fractional number bit per symbol from a point of view of computing expenditures is offered at QAM. The presentation is carried on with reference to case, when it is necessary to transmit the fourth part of bit per symbol. And apart from of the description of operation algorithm of the encoder and the decoder, the creation of signal and value of a power gain achieved using the given method are shown. The offered method of coding is used for design of the high-speed modem, trials of which have confirmed expected dependence of coefficient of errors upon the value of the a signal/noise ratio.
