Abstract :
A new method for antenna array multifocusing on one or more target points is described. Optimization based on the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is used to synthesize the phase of the feeding weights to be applied at each element of the array. The aim is achieving a radiated pattern where the maximum values are located at the multiple focal points, simultaneously. In order to show the efficiency of the method, tests are carried out on a 16 × 16 planar array and then an example using an 8 × 8 patch array is designed, simulated and implemented focusing on two different targets.
