Abstract :
After the introduction of knowledge management, ontologies, intelligent tutoring systems, and the relationships among them, a model of ontology-based knowledge management in intelligent tutoring systems is presented in this paper. It consists of knowledge representation, organization and acquisition module, knowledge distribution module, and knowledge maintainess module. The knowledge representation, organization and acquisition module uses multi-media teaching material getting from textbook and Internet to represent and structure domain knowledge. The knowledge distribution module produces personalized learning units dynamically based on student models and domain knowledge bases in order to improve the self-adaptability and pedagogical effects of the system. Finally, the knowledge maintainess module updates student models and domain knowledge bases according to students´ performance and their interactions with the system.
