Abstract
A flexible configurable single chip RF receiver has been developed. Typical applications are low power radio modules. As a special feature the IC can be configured as single conversion as well as double conversion superhet receiver. An efficient design flow for RF-ICs has been established; evaluation boards were developed and test equipment for measurement was set up. Selected parts of the system design, simulations and measurements of LNA, design and layout, applications are described in detail. As the final result a prototype of an RF transceiver for the LON bus was constructed for building automation.
