Abstract :
A study of the influence of the scattered field observation domain size for imaging applications is presented. The goal is to determine which amount of scattered field information is required for an accurate retrieval of the object-under-test geometry. Practical applications are directly related to the implementation of a scattered field measurement setup in anechoic chamber, where mechanical restrictions may affect the scattered field observation domain size. In addition, the possibility of using a monostatic configuration together with a source reconstruction method-based profile reconstruction algorithm is considered.
