Abstract
DC brushless motors are popular in direct-drive robotics. These motors exhibit small torque ripples at low speeds. Those torque ripples cause speed fluctuations that are unacceptable for applications requiring high precision. An adaptive controller based on the self-tuning regulator technique is presented in this paper to correct for those low speed torque ripples
