Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to establish the Rate Monotonic schedulability of 802.4, the industrial communications protocol, operating in real-time environments. It is shown that although its priority mechanism is not a strict RM scheduler, 802.4 can be RM scheduled if certain necessary conditions hold
