Abstract :
In this paper, the characterization of transmission loss with indoor and outdoor in ultra wideband impulse radio (UWB-IR) system is improved by using the matched filter at the receiver side. The measurement is performed between the corridor (indoor) and parking area (outdoor) environments. The matched filter is used to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The optimum matched filter and the transmitted signal template are considered. The technique gives very accurate result and very useful for design UWB-IR transmission signal waveform
