Abstract
A solution to spectrum resource shortage is introduction of cognitive radio (CR), an advanced wireless communication technology. The ultra wideband CI pulse is a narrow pulse signal synthesized by several coherent carriers. The paper puts forward a method applying SSCI synthesized narrow pulse technology to cognitive radio area. Through CI spectrum spreading of each coherent carrier and synthesizing them together, the ultra-wide band SSCI signal is designed to be an optimal signal conforming to FCC and ETSI standards, which can reduce the interference with other wireless systems and be applicable for the requirements of cognitive radio. The paper gives theoretical analysis, design method and computer simulation results
