  • Abstract
At the Universidad Nacional of Colombia, students of Medicine that belong to the neonatal attention team go through a practical and theoretical process that needs to be taught in the same way it occurs in reality. The simulation devices are an important tool that allows students to get closer to this environment before their previous practices with patients on hospitals. Nowadays, training mannequins are part of the models used to achieve this task; however they have limited functions related to the emulation of some procedures such as the physical reactions due to drugs prescription. This project shows an adapted solution to this restriction of actual mannequins: the implementation of a RFID based module where is possible to program a drug that can be recognized by the mannequin, and then, with this information some signals will take place to demonstrate its effect in the behavior of the simulator.
