Abstract
The modeling and simulation of a three phase 12-pulse cycloconvertor with current control system is presented. The modeling is performed using the switching relations and control functions of the current-controlled-cycloconvertor. The simulation is carried out with a block-oriented simulation software. The results clearly show the behavior of the instantaneous values of three-phase variables allowing a useful tool for studying and predicting the behavior of high-power-cycloconvertor-fed AC-drives, like those found in semiautogenous copper mills
