Abstract :
Based on the bias control technique for RF power amplifiers, this paper discusses the design of automatic temperature compensation software which can accurately control the gate voltage of RF power amplifiers with the variation of the temperature. At first the paper analyzes the temperature characteristics of RF power amplifiers, and then a solution to automatically implement temperature compensation for RF power amplifiers is proposed. Finally, the design process of automatic temperature compensation software for RF amplifiers is discussed in detail. The software can automatically control the RF power amplifier so as to obtain the optimal gate bias voltage while the temperature is changed, consequently to improve the temperature compensation performance for RF power amplifiers.
