Abstract
More customers are now communicating via cellular phones in indoor environments. In this situation, the terminals frequently remain static while being used. To design smart antenna systems such as Adaptive Array Antenna (AAA) and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) for further increasing the capacity in indoor environments, the spatial correlation between antennas must be known. In this paper, we analyze a spatial correlation function of receive antennas and show that the analysis results agree well with measurement results.
