Abstract :
Images are low definition captured from the camera under the condition of insufficient light, and it is difficult to identify or distinguish the content of the images. Based on Retinex theory, applying the enhance operations for these images can reduce the low definition effect caused by weak and dark sunlight. But it should be noted that Retinex method for these images would cause strong saturation that do not fit for human vision. In order to reduce strong saturation, wavelet theory was used to improve Retinex algorithm. The results of the simulation show that the improvement can achieve more effective integration from the theory and human vision. It is superior to the traditional SSR method.
