Abstract :
In recent years, the effect of pavement surface runoff on roadside water resources has aroused widespread attention. According to the research project of "Study on the key drainage technology of down-traversing crossroad in North China Plain area", the paper investigates the climate, geology, and hydro-geology of the plain areas of north China, analyses their characteristic as low water table, good soil permeability, small and concentrated rainfall, deep drinking water well, and so on, discusses the main contamination, primary treatment methods and treatment mechanism of pavement surface runoff, soil self-purification and its effect and the quality standard of filtered rainwater, then puts forward the filtration well to collect surface runoff which can depends on soil self-purification function to filter. The influx water supplies to groundwater resource directly. The roadside water quality meets the requirement of existing standard and has not bad impact to groundwater quality according to the results of the project practice and site tests. The adopted design can reduce the average filled height of embankment and cost effectively, realize the sustainable development aim of highway construction.
