Abstract :
An orthogonally dual-polarized composite antenna for indoor MIMO base station is introduced in this paper. The composite antenna consists of a vertically polarized disk loaded monopole and a horizontally polarized notch array. The proposed antenna has not only very compact structures and low profile, but also enhanced impedance bandwidths of over 300 MHz for the disk loaded monopole and 155 MHz for the notch array. Besides, the antenna has omni-directivity in horizontal plane to satisfy the requirement of indoor ceiling base station.
