Abstract :
This paper investigates the application of Election Campaign Algorithm (ECA) in the optimum design of engineering problems. With ECA´S characteristic of running side by side, the overall optimization and feasible operation, the optimum matching of the design variables is obtained based on the optimum design model of engineering problems. Simulation results based on well-known constrained engineering design problems demonstrate the reliability and feasibility of ECA´s application. ECA is suitable for solving engineering optimization design problems.
