Research of Heterogeneous Authentication Information Synchronization Based on LDAP and Web Service

Nowadays LDAP is more and more widely applied to uniform identity authentication system because of its cross-platform characteristic and high availability. However, identity authentication information usually comes from specific application systems and is maintained by these application systems. What´s more, databases of these application systems are heterogeneous with LDAP. In order to solve the problem that heterogeneous data repositories can not share their information, this paper introduces LDAP and web service in detail and employs web service to synchronize identity authentication information from databases to LDAP, which can make identity authentication information effective and consistent.
