Abstract :
This paper presents a sensorless control of an Interior Permanent Magnet synchronous machine based on a combination of a high frequency injection technique (low speed) and a model-based technique (high speed). The control scheme for each speed range is reported and described. The sensorless technique is predicted by means of simulations and validated by some experimental results. A preliminary study of the machine under test, through Finite Element method and experimental tests is also drawn.
