Abstract
The paper deals with the decrease of the radiation efficiency of hand-held devices due to energy losses in the operator´s hand and mismatching of the device´s antenna input impedance close to the operator´s head. A set for model studies is presented. Comments to necessary modifications of protection standards are formulated. Some mysterious protection means are introduced
