Abstract :
The problem of localization has long been regarded as very difficult to be solved in the wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The localization error is also hard to be avoided. In this paper, a novel location correction algorithm-Sail is formally described, designed and evaluated. The Dogvane algorithm is used to determine the direction of the refinement, and the centric algorithm to compute the new locations for the sensor nodes. Sail is very simple and absolutely distributed. Through the performance simulation, the maximal single node´s error has been improved at 83% and the accumulative error at 84%. Finally, how these factors, such as the initial error, the ranging error, the communication range, the sailor and the iterative time, influence the improvement is analyzed
