Abstract :
A small integrated diversity antenna using dipole and monopole modes is proposed, and a design method is shown. We show that the mutual coupling between two modes is low and the correlation coefficient is extremely small by performing simulations. The height and width of the proposed antenna are respectively 0.1λc and 0.292λc, where λc is the free-space wavelength at the center frequency. The fractional bandwidth for which the return loss is less than -10 dB is 3.9% and the isolation between two modes is 13 dB. Also, we validate the simulated results by performing measurements.
