Abstract
Recently CIPM has recommended the frequency of the Ca-intercombination line at /spl nu/=455986240.5 MHz, determined interferometrically, for the realization of the metre. Based on the existing frequency chain at PTB to the infrared, we report on the realization of phase-coherent frequency multiplication steps from a CO/sub 2/ laser, phase locked to the Cs clock, to the Ca stabilized dye laser.<>
