Abstract
The L1-performance analysis of nonlinear systems is discussed using the theory of positively invariant sets and the set-valued analysis. The main result of the paper shows that the L1 performance cost of a nonlinear continuous-time system is upper bounded by the L1 performance cost of its Euler approximating discrete-time system (EAS). Another result shows that the optimal L1 performance cost of a continuous-time system can be arbitrarily closed by the L1 performance cost of its EAS
