Abstract :
The experimental results on electrode conditioning of a vacuum gap microchannel plate-cathodoluminescent screen of an image brightness amplifier, by high-voltage pulses of nanosecond range duration, have been presented. The nanosecond conditioning liquidates emission centers on the plate output surface, increases the local screen luminescence emergence voltage up to two working voltages and decreases dark currents by 1-2.5 orders. Conditioning efficiency increases with overvoltage growth at the gap and with pulse duration decrease
