Abstract
A novel dual-band circularly polarized (CP) RFID reader antenna utilizing the feeding network with Wilkinson power divider is proposed. The antenna consists of two square radiating patches, an isolator for dual-band performance, a bottom ground plane, and microstrip feeding networks. The impedance bandwidth for 15 dB return loss is about 110 MHz in the UHF band and about 100 MHz in the ISM band. The antenna gain is about 5.3 ~ 7.3 dBic in the UHF band and about 6.7 ~ 7.6 dBic in the ISM band over the 3 dB axial ratio CP bandwidth.
