Abstract :
A new chaotic delay differential equation (DDE) with complex multiple-scroll attractors is presented. The DDE employs a newly designed piecewise-linear nonlinear function with small delay time and simple parameter setting, and suggests simple electronic circuit implementations. Dynamic behaviours are described in terms of stability, chaotic waveforms in time domain, and chaotic attractors with three scroll, five-scroll and seven-scroll topologies. This new DDE offers a potential alternative to high-chaoticity and high complexity chaotic systems for secured communications.
