Abstract
Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor can be used to analyze bio-specific interaction and offer parameters like dynamic characteristics and concentration of the biomolecular interaction by detecting the refractive index change of the sample. This paper presents an experimental equipment of SPR biosensor with narrow incident beam, which can avoid random light intensity distribution. The experiment results indicate that SPR sensing with narrow incident beam can monitor the refractive index change of the samples and possess a primary sensitivity of 0.001 RIU.
