Abstract
A redetermination of the Newtonian gravitational constant is nearing completion at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The method used will incorporate both the techniques of Eotvos (1986) and Cavendish (1798), albeit with additional innovations. The philosophy behind the design, the instrumentation and preliminary data will be discussed.<>
