Abstract :
Asymptotic approach based on geometrical optics and physical optics to array-fed reflector antenna with offset parabolic reflector and active feed array is considered. Simple relationships between antenna structure parameters and its performances are presented. Algorithm of parametrical synthesis is described. Antenna quality in terms of aperture efficiency and element use factor is considered. The proposed approach is illustrated by computer simulation of the multibeam antenna for satellite communications.
