Abstract :
The installation of SPDs (surge protective devices) in telecommunication plants is required according to the lighting protection zone (LPZ) concept, according to EMC, whenever an electrical line crosses the boundary between two zones. It determines the place for the installation of SPDs at the zone interfaces. In order to guarantee a safe protection of telecommunication systems, an energetic coordination method of SPDs among each other and between SPDs and the equipment to be protected is defined
